Acorn2Oak Preschool is run by an elected committee, which ensures that major decision making is in the hands of the parents who use the group.
The committee is responsible for reviewing both policy and practice, and overseeing the employment and appraisal of members of staff. Our Annual General Meeting, at which the committee for the following year is elected, is held in the Autumn Term and parents will be informed in good time in order that they are able to attend. A list of the committee members is available at the preschool.
We need parents to join our committee and become a member of our enthusiastic and friendly team. Without committee volunteers, the preschool cannot operate. If you are interested then please contact the preschool. A committee member will then contact you with all the details.
Basically we are a mix of Mums and Dads of children who are attending or have previously attended Acorn2Oak Preschool. We all have different skills from accountancy, IT, fundraising or just being able to make a good cup of tea.
We give as little or as much time as we are able when we are able.
